The two-year college experts at Interact do much more than just move enrollment needles. We’re about starting brand new conversations around higher education, and telling bold new stories. Meanwhile, Orange County’s community colleges needed a way to bring clarity and consistency to their marketing efforts, as they sought to evolve the perception of Career Education in the region. It was a match made in Southern California!
Starting with the communications preferences of its real students, and continuing with in-depth research with all relevant stakeholder groups, Interact worked with the South Orange County Community College District to develop custom branding and messaging under the “Future BUILT” banner.
The successful launch led to a multi-year contract with SOCCCD, with Interact handling strategic planning, writing and editing, web design, graphic design and videography services, and more.
The “Future BUILT” campaign has grown into a multi-platform movement, carrying an inspiring yet optimally blue-collar message around the many career education opportunities available at Orange County’s community colleges and continuing education center.
The broader campaign leveraged low-cost, high-penetration platforms, including digital, social media, streaming radio, and email, to achieve minor miracles with a limited media buying budget. Interact also developed, wrote and designed a custom Career Education website (futurebuilt.org), a Regional Career Education viewbook, a Brand Style Guide, and a regionalized News Center (news.futurebuilt.org).
Year 2 campaign, Interact and SOCCCD will be producing an electronic version of the viewbook, conducting further research on the intake pipeline, and implementing targeted micro-campaigns based on existing and evolving prospect lists.
